The basic requirements.

Requirements protect volunteers, beneficiaries, staff, and the communities where we work.

Minimum age

18 years or older; some roles accept volunteers aged 16+ with parental consent.

Background check

Required for roles involving children or other vulnerable people.

Time commitment

Some ongoing roles require at least four hours weekly for three months.

Orientation

Every placed volunteer must complete the relevant orientation.

What is the minimum time commitment?

Ongoing roles commonly require four hours each week for at least three months. Flexible and project roles vary.

Is training provided?

Can students receive internship credit?
